Bordentown Regional High School alumnae were part of a successful group of women’s soccer players at Mercer County Community College.

Alyssa Donahue and Lauren Donoher were members of the team that prompted MCCC Coach Michelle Ogborn-Haywood to say: “I’m thrilled with this season and this group of women. They got with the system very quickly.”

The Vikings ended the season with a 12-5-1 record and had exciting finishes in the semifinal and final games of the regional tournament.

Donahue, a sophomore defender, had seven goals plus converted a penalty kick in the post-season. Ogborn-Haywood noted that Donahue’s speed and skill allowed her to go up and score and then get back to her position on defense. Donahue is expected to transfer to Kutztown University next year.

Donahue received All-Region 19 Division I First Team honors. Donahue and Donoher, a freshman midfielder, were selected to the All Garden State Athletic Conference Division I Team.
