Bordentown Regional High School Top 10

These students ranked in the Top 10 based on their first semester GPAs. Each student filled out a questionnaire detailing future plans and reflecting on favorite memories.
The graduating seniors are set to attend colleges including Yale University, Gettysburg College and Rutgers University. They plan to study fields like engineering, the sciences, acting, archeology, law and finance as they prepare to travel across the country or stay close to home.
The Top 10 students have been involved in many activities during their high school years. At college, some look forward to playing intramural, club and varsity sports, while others may pursue student government and theater.
The Top 10 students are set to graduate—along with the rest of the Class of 2013—on Thursday, June 20, at 6 p.m. at Bordentown Regional High School.
#1 Brandon HudikYale University (engineering) Environmental engineer for major car company GPA: 106.15 Intended college involvement: Intramural soccer, basketball and volleyball Most looking forward to: Paying my own bills, taxes and insurance. Just kidding. I can’t wait to meet new people and travel abroad. In 10 years: I have no idea where I’ll be in 10 years, and that is kind of the awesome thing about it. Favorite memory: Winning all four years of homecoming, and the great times in AP gym class with Nick B.
#2 Matt SherrierValparaiso University (mechanical engineering) Engineer GPA: 105.15 Most looking forward to: I look forward to going to college and starting the next chapter of my life. In 10 years: I hope to be working as an engineer.
#3 Thea PopkoRutgers University (environmental sciences) GPA: 104.5 Most looking forward to: Living independently and meeting new people.
#4 Andrew MaimoneGettysburg College (biology) Dentistry GPA: 103.36 Intended college involvement: Croquet, cricket, equestrian, Elephant Polo Most looking forward to: I look forward to the college experience. In 10 years: I would like to be graduated from dentistry school and opening up a small-town practice.
#5 Raymond McCormackThe University of Pennsylvania (anthropology or Near Eastern languages and civilizations) Archeology GPA: 102.48 Most looking forward to: I most look forward to discussions with others who share my interests and to broadening my intellectual horizons. In 10 years: I will have earned a Ph.D. and I will be searching for lost civilizations.
#6 Matthew LuyberThe Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University (BFA acting) Actor GPA: 101.91 Most looking forward to: I’m really looking forward to pursuing a career in the work that I love. In 10 years: Hopefully I will be in NYC making a living as a working actor. Favorite memory: Winning first place at the NJ International Thespian Festival.
#7 Madison PepplerUniversity of Central Florida (undecided/science) GPA: 102 Intended college involvement: Maybe club field hockey Most looking forward to: I’m excited to figure out what my career will be and to have amazing experiences on the way. In 10 years: I see myself establishing my career and having great friends to spend time with.
#8 Jihoon OhRutgers University (mechanical engineering) GPA: 101.49 Most looking forward to: I cannot wait until I go to college, where I can explore my imagination and apply it to my engineering knowledge. In 10 years: I see myself living in a small town in New Jersey and commuting to New York City to work as an engineer in a large corporation. Favorite memory: My favorite memory during high school was during a cross country meet my sophomore year. My friend and teammate Austin Papp and I were running neck and neck until we saw the finish line. The original plan was to finish together, but at the very last 100 meters, we both suddenly started sprinting. At the end, he took a huge leap and beat me by a split second

In 10 years: I see myself as a striving attorney with a million dollar business, Trinity Footwear, on the side. Favorite memory: My most valued moment in high school would have to be the thousands of hours spent on the field shaping my character and learning valuable life lessons with my teammates.

In 10 years: I really can’t imagine my future. It really is vague. Favorite memory: My favorite memory was when our XC team went to states; a week ago, we were ecstatic for making sectionals.
