The Acoustic Mixtape Life concert and annual auction are set for September. The annual Holiday Train Show is set to return the weekend after Thanksgiving. All events will take place at the historic landmark building in Bordentown City.
Acoustic Mixtape Live! is scheduled for 2 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 21. Proceeds from this event are set to benefit The Community Food Pantry of St. Mary.
The event is organized by Bordentown resident Joe Conroy, who hosted a similar fundraiser for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen at the Riverview Studio.
Conroy is set to perform with Karsten Hilpert in an acoustic duo called Barley Harvest. Other performances include Bill Lambusta of the Bootstrap Bandits, local singer/songwriter John Bilinski, Bordentown resident Fritz Denlinger -who recently reunited with his high school band called The Fast Times- and guitarist Michael Scotto.
The third annual Old City Hall Auction is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m. on Sept. 28.
Newly elected Mayor Joseph Malone has agreed to be Master of Ceremonies and Guest Auctioneer.
This year’s auction features Bordentown memorabilia and original works of art. Auction items include a 1920s Bordentown City Ballot Box containing original ballot forms, original watercolor landscape of Bordentown street scene by Thomas Kimball, a painted Clara Barton classroom chair, an historic Bordentown Lyons Club meeting Bell, a 1930s Fieldsboro clasroom trolley-style desk chair and an original oil painting of The Old City Hall by Al Barker.
As a preview, a few of the items on the auction block are set to displayed in storefront windows along Farnsworth Avenue starting in August and leading up to the event.
The fourth annual Holiday Train Show is scheduled for 12 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 29 and 20, and 12 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 1. With each passing year, the Train Show brings new surprises and featured exhibits.
This year's train show coincides with Bordentown’s Holiday Tree Lighting; scheduled for 5 p.m. Nov. 30 at the intersection of Farnsworth Avenue and Crosswicks Street.
The Old City Hall is located at 11 Crosswicks Street in Bordentown City.
