Attention love birds: Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! Restaurants across the country are preparing special menus for the most romantic night of the year. Here’s what seven Farnsworth Avenue hot spots are offering on Friday, Feb. 14.
Beanwood Latin Bistro Beanwood is offering a prix fixe menu on Valentine’s Day.Along with soup and salad, the menu features San Juan Pollo a la Casa (chicken with Beanwood’s Caribbean sauce), Guavate’s Pernil Asado (pulled pork), Isla Verde Tilapia and Vieque’s Vegetariano (a vegetarian dish made with tofu). Jester’s Café Jester’s Café plans to offer a special menu, but as of press time, the menu was not finalized. On a regular day, the restaurant offers a large menu made up of appetizers, salads, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, burgers and entrées. Jester’s offers Italian dishes and homemade specialties. Marcello’s Restaurant & Tomato Pie Marcello’s owner Vinny Minerva doesn’t limit romance to just one day; he celebrates Valentine’s Day all weekend long. The restaurant will offer its special Valentine’s Day menu Feb. 14-16. Along with dishes like heart-shaped ravioli, Marcello’s creates an atmosphere for sweethearts. Oliver, a bistro Owner and executive chef Matthew McElmoyl is concocting a special menu for Valentine’s Day guests, but at press time, the menu was not finalized. During the week, the BYOB bistro serves up entrées ranging from Pan Seared Sea Scallops to Black Angus Sirlion to Braised Pork Shank. The Vault More than your average pizza joint, The Vault makes authentic Napoletana style pies in a wood fire oven. Toscano Ristorante Toscano is offering six seatings for Valentine’s Day. Couples can reserve tables for 5, 5:30, 7, 7:30, 9 and 9:30 p.m. Patrons will be offered a smaller menu featuring Toscano favorites and some specials. Toscano serves traditional Italian meals and unique dishes like Emma’s Meatball Salad and Italian Egg Rolls. Entrées include Lobster Stuffed Basa, New York strip steak, New Zealand Lamb Chops, Double-Cut Pork Chop and Wild Mushroom Risotto.
