Randy Now's Man Cave is set to kick off a summer concert series July 5.
Each concert features area and regionally known musicians performing mostly their own original music along
Concert are scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday evenings throughout the summer. Tickets to each concert are $5 or less. Summer.
The concert series is scheduled to begin with the “The Bishop Of The Blues” Paul Plumeri along with his bass guitar accompanist Jerry Monk July 5. Plumeri has a 30 year career of writing and performing original blues songs.
Solo performer Amy Faden is scheduled for July 12. Faden performed at Bordentown City’s first Beer and Wine Festival last year and at last month’s Bordentown Street Fair.
Next, uncle and nephew duo Johnny Ott and Joey Affatato are scheduled to perform July 19.
Ott is the lead singer and leader of The Cryptkeeper Five band. The CK5 have been performing live in the Bordentown area for more than ten years and have five full albums to their credit.
The final weekend of July features two concerts.
Jim Loretangeli is set to make his first Bordentown appearance in more than 30 years July 25. Jim had played in bands since his teen years in Bordentown but left town in the early 1980s for other careers. The concert is a retrospective of what Loretangeli has accomplished since leaving the area.
Two Bordentown Regional High School class of 1980 graduates, “Tod the Mod” Ellis and Chris Gordon are set to perform July 26. Together in the early 1980s, Ellis and Gordon performed as the pop band Smart Remarks and made two recordings. Their single “Mary’s Got Her Eye On Me Tonight” was heard on college radio stations across the USA and was regularly played on the Philadelphia television teen dance show Dancin’ On Air. They have not performed together since 1983.
Randy Now’s Man Cave will continue the summer concert series into August with performances from Lisa Bouchelle, Jet Weston, Jessica Paris and Keith Monacchio, Jana Peri, plus plans for a pop culture trivia contest night, and a 60′s garage a-go-go dance party at The Man Cave.
