POLICE BLOTTER: Several arrests made in City
As follows is the Police Blotter released by Bordentown City Police Department on Monday, Oct. 6.

A call for service was received that a suspicious male was asleep in his car in the parking lot of McFarland Intermediate School. Det. Vincent Bernotas arrived and located the male still asleep in his vehicle. As Det. Bernotas tried to alert the male he saw that the male had a fixed blade knife, various pills, and a hypodermic needle on his persons. Det. Bernotas arrested Matthew Sager, 26, of Bordentown and charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Case is pending.

While on routine patrol in Bordentown City a call came in for people trespassing on the Light Rail freight line tracks. Ptl. Platt approached the subjects and inquired as to why they were sitting in the middle of the tracks. Susan Vandaly, 31, of Chambersburg PA and Christopher Ridolfi, 22, of Bordentown stated they were trying to get out of the sun. Upon further dealings it was confirmed that Ms. Vandaly had multiple warrants out of other jurisdictions, and was placed under arrest; when searched Ms. Vandaly was found to have 12 bags of suspected Heroin, and 2 hypodermic needles. Ptl. Platt charged Ms. Vandaly with possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Drug Paraphernalia. Case is pending.

While on routine patrol in Bordentown City D/Sgt. Shaun Lafferty observed multiple motor vehicle violations on a Ford pick-up and proceeded with a traffic stop. While conducting his stop it was ascertained that two of the occupants Jason Thomas, 33, of Wrightstown and Lawrence Welsh, 37, of W. Berlin had multiple warrants out of other jurisdictions. As D/Sgt Laffertry and Ptl. Platt began the arrest proceedings it was unveiled that both also possessed Controlled Dangerous Substances in the form of Heroin, non-prescribed Xanax, and Suboxone as well as hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia. The individuals were charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Hypodermic Needles. Case is pending

A call for service was received in the area of the 100 block of Prince St. for a Hispanic male trespassing on a neighbor’s property. As Ptl. Archer and Capt. Miller arrived on location they were informed that the male left after being confronted by a neighbor and went towards the NJ Transit Light Rail. When officers arrived at the Light Rail they encountered Luis Robles, 28, of Camden after a brief chase of the suspect he was detained and confirmed that he was in the yard on Prince St. During the arrest process it was found that he had a hypodermic needle, suspected Controlled Dangerous Substance, and other drug paraphernalia. Mr. Robles was charged for all three offences. Case is pending.
