RiverFest returns to Park Street for second year Oct. 15
Hope Hose Human Co. No. 1 will host this year’s festival, set for Saturday, Oct. 15 from noon to 10 p.m. at 100 West Park St. Hope Hose is the country’s second-oldest all-volunteer fire company, founded 249 years ago.
RiverFest drew more than 6,000 attendees last year. This year, said Hope Hose president and RiverFest chairman Robert Curran, they’re expecting over 15,000. Admission is free at the gate, but donations supporting the volunteer firefighters and EMTs are encouraged. After the event, the Official After Party will be held at The Cool Cricket in Fieldsboro from 10 p.m. until close. The Drunk Monkeys will play live.
The family friendly event will feature a free Kids Corner sponsored by Bordentown Home for Funerals with bounce attractions, face painters and magicians.
Fare at Restaurant Row will include Toscano’s, Farnsworth House, Under the Moon, Big Matt’s Burritos, Smiley’s Ice Cream, Christ Church, The HOB, Sunday’s, Marcello’s, Jesters, The Cool Cricket, The Vault, The Parlour, The Cake Box and Chez Alice and Sfizio’s. There will also be more than 20 vendors to shop and learn about Bordentown’s great community organizations.
Live music will play all day, starting with kicking it off with Out of the Red’s pipes and drums, followed by Radio Fiction and headliner Black Brant. The bands play everything from the ’60s to today.
In partnership with the Farnsworth House, the whole beach will be transformed into a beer garden with 15 beers and wines on tap. Pre-sale beer tickets are $15 and include a souvenir mug and first three drinks. Day-of beer tickets are $20 and include the souvenir mug and first three drinks.
Tickets can be purchased online at brewtickets.com or at the RiverFest Cranberry Festival booth on Oct. 1 and 2. RiverFest pre-parties will be held on Oct. 8 at both The Parlour and The Cool Cricket from 8 p.m. until close. Pre-sale tickets, T-shirts, hoodies and Super 50/50 tickets will be available at all of these events.
