Bordentown-based Sheltered Yoga will host a golf tournament Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. at Valleybrook Country Club in Blackwood. Organizers say Sheltered Yoga’s Annual Charity Golf Scramble and Spa Day will benefit the organization, which provides yoga, meditation, wellness and mindfulness to adults and children from homeless shelters, domestic violence centers, transitional housing, senior centers and other places where people are in need. Sheltered Yoga operates in the South Jersey, Central Jersey and Greater Philadelphia areas.

For golfers, the event will feature “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive” contests, as well as the opportunity to purchase mulligans. Awards will be presented to the top three teams, the top women’s team and specialty hole winners during the dinner and silent auction. Non-golfers can participate in a spa day, which will include yoga for all levels, massages, manicures and a yoga mat.

Sponsor a Golfer opportunities are also available. A $150 donation allows Sheltered Yoga to bring women and children from the program to the event to work with professionals to learn the rules of golf and play a few holes.
