Mar 01, 2017 06:05AM ● Published by Community News Service

Local author Fred Freda will host a book reading and signing to introduce his new children’s book, “Fred the Fish,” at Osteria Procaccini on March 4. The story follows Fred from birth to his final aquarium home.

Freda, a retired state employee, has lived in Bordentown since 1987, and he has owned and operated an aquarium and pond business since 2007. The business inspired him to write a children’s book about a saltwater tropical fish named Fred. Included in the story is a little valuable information about fish care that may help the children who would like to have fish as pets someday. The book is ideal for children from the ages 2-8 and can be purchased through amazon.com for $8.95.

For each book sold, a $.30 donation will be made to area SPCAs to help fight cruelty to animals. If you cannot make the book reading, contact Freda at (609) 458-8658 for a discount on the book. For more information about the book or the signing, call (609) 291-5525 for further information.
